Caciotta Stravecchia is an Italian cheese made from cow's milk and produced in Veneto
This cheese has a long ripening period (1 year) on wooden planks.
Ingredients: cow's milk, natural milk enzymes, rennet and salt.
Note: since the rind is not edible, it is treated with linseed oil during the ripening process. Storage: This product does not have particular conservation problems, but should be kept in the fridge like a normal product.
Consumption: The taste of Caciotta Stravecchia is strong, sharp and a little spicy, but leaves a sweet and pleasant taste in the mouth. This cheese can be enjoyed alone and also accompanied with a full-bodied red wine. The combination of this natural product works quite well with polenta, and can also be enjoyed with jams and special mustards.
