Caciotta Caprina is an Italian cheese made from goat's milk and produced in Friuli Venezia Giulia
ther names: Venezia Giulia Caciotta goat, classic Goat Formadiele, Formaele, Formaiele, Formael, Formadeut de Cjavre, Jama classic Goat Carnia Vecjo de Cjavre (if staggered).
It is a semi-hard, cylindrical cheese, 6-8cm high, 12-15cm diameter and weight 800-1200gr.
It is obtained from goat's milk whose cottage cheese is chopped, placed in containers and left to rest. Then the forms are salted by hand or in brine.
